Kosuke Fukudome has declined the Yumiuri Giants' offer, and will play his next baseball in the MLB. Fukudome's asking price is a 3 year 40 million dollar deal. The San Diego Padres offered him a contract around 3 years 35 million. The Cubs may give him an offer of 3 year 45 million +. His decision is coming soon. The leading candidates for Fukudome's services are the Cubs, Padres, and White Sox. Fukudome is considered Japan's best slugger.
