The Cubs have been known to be interested in Kaz Matsui and were reportedly close on a 3 year deal around 15 million. They are said to be interested in pitchers Bartolo Colon and Carlos SIlva. They may need a starting pitcher if they trade Marshall in the proposed Crawford deal. If the Cubs fail to sign Kosuke Fukudome, they may turn into signing the highly tempered Milton Bradley as their backup option.
